read me

practicing yoga daily has really encouraged me to want to better myself from the inside out. there’s just something about practicing yoga that allows you to accept yourself as you are in the moment, but also want to constantly be improving & living out your best self at the same time. through my practice i have learned to honor myself & that means taking care of myself (body, mind, & spirit) & doing what is best for each of these aspects of me.

books have helped greatly with this process. many authors can speak to my mind & heart in ways i often find trouble with expressing. i often feel things, but have trouble expressing them to other people or even to myself. there have been so many books that i have read recently where underlining, highlighting, & writing the excerpt out on a post-it note to hang on my mirror isn’t even enough to express how much i agree with the statement. it’s like i want to shout, “yes! this is it! this is 100% what i believe in/think/feel/want to live by!” it can be like someone went into my mind & heart & so eloquently put my thoughts & beliefs into words. books, to me, can end up being a plethora of mantras to design my life around.
